First piece of 2013! though it is similar to the last few pieces of 2012... heh. I like the design of this one, but not sure the pale colors work well on the handmade paper. The bolder colors of the heron and flamingo seemed to have done better.

I can agree that bolder colors generally look best with Celtic-style work, the pale hues in this one work very well with the subject matter and the look of the paper; it gives it an almost delicate, antique quality.
