The Challenger by Ariadnedalua

The Challenger

Ariadnedalua

This is a piece I have been working on the last days, I was listening to Adrian von Ziegler's music, which I really loved! His musics are so beautifull, I really loved them. Its like if his songs take me to other places, like in a field where are warriors running for the battle, on that epick scenes, it reminds me of Lord Of The Rings too. I love that fantasy themes, so these musics get me so easy...

I have been listening a lot his Celtic musics playlist - Here: < http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL01430065947B667E>

The Idea of this drawing is about a hero choosen by the gods who dared to challenge them. The wrath of the gods fallen over the choosen hero, but his might was bigger than the storms and the destructive demonstration of power surronding him.

The gods didn't feared the battle that was upon them, But yet feared his powerfull will and spirit...

This one took me a lot of work, my hands and my back hurts, and I have spent two whole days working on it, duing nothing else. But it was totally worth it.

Done in Photoshop.

Art by me.

Have a look on Adrian's Pages!

I would say your hard work payed off big time. You are one of the few artists also that seems to be able to make background and character seem interactive, that is very evident here. Also I feel I should say that it's awesome seeing you break a bit from your norm with something more intense.....very well done and maybe your best work to date.

      Thank you very much!

I really try to achieve that with my drawings, And it's always good to take some work on thing differents! even more because I love such fantasy and more folk themes, or medieval battles as well.

I love cartoons but is always good to get a bit back to those themes, they were the ones that made me draw for first instance! =)

I try to do that too actually (even though I draw and shade both differently). Most cartoon artists seem to draw their character even when there is a background like they are floating in an abyss. I think with this it still is cartoonish but is a totally different tone, much more of a dark Gothic vibe and balance to 2 perfectly.

Even with different ways of drawings and effects we can make that feeling, the thing is more to the artist's style. It really gives a totally diferent sensation to the drawing. I really still prefer the interaction of the charcter with the environment haha
