Before being allowed to travel around the world, Mike has been tasked of protecting a temple in Japan from evil Yokai when he encountered some, meaning their leader is nearby, while he went to find and defeat the Yokai Leader, so he fetched his Keyblade and fought the Yokai while he gained a few level ups!
