Gory syringe gags. These are made from Envirtex Lite resin mixed with various colorants and oral medication syringes. I use this resin relatively frequently; it's an encapsulating epoxy used to seal furniture. You can also cast it in molds and use it to make water on landscape terrains although it comes out yellowish if it is over an eighth of an inch thick or so.
I use the syringes to dispense the resin acurately. From time to make whwn I have extra resin I make these to use it up. They would make good little halloween decorations or practical jokes.
Because the resin isn't really entirely compatible with acrylic paints or food colorings it hardens more like vinyl than epoxy when mixed like this. The surfaces I made these on weren't entrely level so the resin didn't cure flat which spoiled the pooled liquid effect.
