I wanted to try coloring something using gradient maps so I grabbed a sketch I did a couple days ago and went to town 8'D I've never painted anything in grayscale before so I thought it would be an interesting challenge. To bump it up another notch I also decided to merge layers frequently until most of the time I was only working on 1-2 layers. After I applied the maps I started working more like I usually did and added a lot of layers with different effects and colors. Very interesting, though I don't know how often I'd use this method! :U I learned a lot of things not to do. I like the way it came out though.

Anyway, it's just plantbeast!snake!Torch. Title cause it's easy for him to transition into a more dragon-esque form when he's already a snake, and he kinda started here already with the horns and mouth splitting open.
