My first entry for Weasyl is a sort of self-portrait. I hadn't done anything like this for a while so this was just produced on a whim an early Sunday morning. My main influence was this one sketch I saw in a biography of Chuck Jones years ago - he had drawn Wile E Coyote in repose, akin to Vincent Van Gogh. I guess ever since I wanted to reflected that since who knew a cartoon character could been drawn with such soul, y'know? Anyway, this was just a colour study - I'm still trying to figure out how to warm-up my images somewhat and give depth without relying on black or too many outlines.
