contest prize for a contest held earlier last year for one of my groups~ I went all out with the patterns laughs it was lots of fun~

1st place contest prize [2/2] for aconite-pawlove@dA for the summer contest held over on CuteCritters@dA of their character Merle~
Please make sure to full view at 100% there are lots of sharp pixel details that look blurry otherwise!

A cute little sleeping Merle~ Had lots of fun with the shading hehe I love adding little patterns and effects to the shading to make it less boring since it's just cell shading >v< This time I used my pixel pattern brushes to add some checkered shading to soften some of the edges of the shading~ I hope you like it too!
laughs you wouldn't believe the amount of time to draw those snowflakes XD I don't like the look of too 'perfect' symmetry you get by using transform tools and such so I draw them by hand but darn it's hard to get it looking relatively even but I think it's worth it for that kinda charm you get from it all being hand-drawn~

I've gotten all the bigger art prizes done aaa just a matter of getting them all submitted! I got one more chibi also done but I'll wait a little it to spread out the submissions a bit~ The icons may have to wait a bit uuu I was planning on doing them last night/today but I didn't realize I indeed have a lab first thing in the morning tomorrow... before even the very first lecture of the class ;o;"" I need to prepare for two labs apparently for the same day too so I'm kinda dying here I'm really stressed and kinda pissed they'd do that first day back OTL
I bring my laptop with me for some classes so during breaks I'll try to pixel in SAI with my touchpad to somehow slowly work on the icons and hopefully get those out of the way before classes pick up and get too busy again QwQ" I'll need to find time to use the desktop at home to finish it up though since I don't have PS installed on this laptop..

So yeah this is kinda warning I might take a little longer to reply to things starting tomorrow.. back to the hell that is uni life sighs my winter break went by so fast ;w;
