Introducing a new [closed] species; Poffi! Made these guys back in July as a random fluffy cute species that'd be fun and easy to make designs for~ I'll be uploading a custom made for a friend and then hopefully soon [fingers crossed] I can finish a batch of adopts before my small break ends for sale.

Poff is sorta the species mascot I guess haha she's a Standard Poffi with a fancy tier flavour [marshmallow]. Since I doubt I'll be able to make a proper species sheet anytime soon I'll just leave it here under her chara info.

If anyone wants to make one for now I'll set DIY [MYO] price at a base price of $3.00 USD/300 dA points

Poffi Species Info:

• fluffy small critters with edible sugary fur that's constantly growing
• think of it somewhat like cotton candy
• also think of them as kinda like tiny sheep; their fur is trimmed to be eaten and it just grows back
• generally kept as strictly indoor pets
• fur must be taken care of so it doesn't get messy if it is to stay edible
• there's lot of grooming options with their large amount of fur but the default look [shown here] is most common
• must not be washed unless they're dirty since their fur and any sugar crystals on them will melt and have to grow back
• their appearance matches with the flavour of their fur and most have pastel colours
• all have crystallized sugar plating the inside of their ears, some also grow it elsewhere on their body
• crystallized sugar grows slower and is quite valuable as a treat
• their skin is always a dark-ish black/grey/brown tone which can be seen on the pads of their feet [they don't have toe beans just the one big pad]

• they have white sclera it's just not visible generally! [the black around their eyes is an area of skin without fur to keep it out of their eyes]

• majority of them are sweet with matching personalities but there are also Wild ones with sour flavours/personalities

• all of them prefer sweet foods which lead to their fur and any sugar crystals to grow faster but they'll eat stuff like bread too

• need something with sugars or stuff that can be broken down into sugars

• make squeaking or mewling sounds though generally fairly quiet

• fond of company and living in pairs or small groups

• heights vary between 10cm - 15cm depending on the body build

• 3 body builds: Standard, Elegant, and Wild

• 4 flavour tiers: Common, Fancy, Specialty, and Luxe [going from common to rare]

• flavours are not unique unless they are Luxe tier though it is less common for repeated flavours at higher tiers

• notable traits [mutations and rarer traits]:
  --- heterochromia/gradient in sugar crystals
  --- heterochromia in eyes
  --- sugar nubs/any sugar crystals on Standards
  --- sugar crystal false wings on Elegants
  --- multiple tails
  --- flavour combos [classified as Specialty or Luxe]

Standard [shown]:

• most common variant
• small and rounded looking with lots of fur
• smallest variant - 10cm tall
• usually the most playful out of the 3 builds and so are the most popular pets
• short snouts/legs make them look kinda like balls with a tail
• on occasion will have crystallized sugar nubs on their head [shown]

Elegant:

• rarer variant
• longer sleek build with fur feathering
• tallest variant - 15cm tall
• tend to be quieter and more reserved compared to Stardards
• sought after, classy pet
• longer snout/limbs and elongated tails
• on occasion will have crystallized sugar antlers/false wings/plating
• feathery projections of fur are common though not all have them
• have white, shaped pupils [often star shaped]
• more likely to have higher tier flavours

Wild:

• rarest variant
• thicker build and slightly bigger than Standards, but shorter than Elegants
• height - 12cm
• least popular due to their sour flavours and personalities, but some like the sour taste
• less fur and tend to be more dragon-like in appearance with spines/scales/plates a common trait
• fur tends to be spiky or ragged looking and all sport sugar claws and visible [bone not sugar] fangs
• wildest personalities out of the builds and can be snappy
