You said somewhere else that this was en exercise in, "I don't know that I'm doing." Whenever you say that you certainly hide it well. This looks like the cover to a novel that I really want to read. I like that the imagery in the bottom part of the piece is "familiar" to what you used to draw a lot of but that it, and the top half, show just how far you've come since those bygone days. The armor is fantastic and believable, and my God, that chain-mail, you must have the patience of a saint. The character is nice and emotive and his details are done well. The corvid, in particular, is very impressive. The way his feathers are arranged, his anatomy and pose. This is just a really, really fantastic drawing.
