A Visit to the Doctor 1

A Visit to the Doctor

By Amethystine (And Slyth too!)

A man went to the doctor, as men are wont to do when random patches of scaly skin appear upon oneself. He had gotten in to see said doctor after a lengthy period of waiting, during which he could feel the scales making his skin more and more itchy.. slowly spreading under his clothes.. he knew, because of the frequent trips to the bathroom to lift up his shirt and feel anxiously at the increasingly firm patches of skin as they hardened into scales.

Now, in front of the medical professional, the young man can barely contain himself. When the doctor asks him what seems to be the problem, he exposes his torso in a slightly over-exuberant manner, practically sneering, "This SEEMS to be it, Doc!"

"Oh my, I see." The doctor says, calmly. He proceeds to examine the now rapidly spreading scales as they overtake most of the man's abdomen. He's listening to the man's heartbeat as smooth scutes congeal under the cool metal circle, making it lose it's purchase on the soft flesh and slip away from the heart. The doctor has seen enough at this point though, and straightens up, peering down at the man as the encroaching scales slip up his neck, reaching his hands and feet at the same time, having consumed his limbs already while the man waited for the doctor to get on with it.

"Well, I'm happy to say I know exactly what's happening to you, my boy." The white coated figure stated, looking slightly proud of himself at his expert diagnosis.

"Ok, what'ss thisss all about already?!" the youth demands, his mouth having already fallen to the onslaught of scaliness.

"You're turning into what we in the profession like to call: 'A Naga'." says the doctor, coolly.

The patient blinks slowly.. his eyes closing just as the scales reach them, the eyelids clearing to become his eye-scales.. they don't reopen, but the slitted orbs staring out at the doctor as they clear give the appearance of a full blink. "Oh."

The doctor nods. "Yeeeeup."

The Managa hmms and nods. "Well, that makesss sssenssse.. hm! I alwaysss liked sssnakesss and ssstuff like that." he idly taps his fledgling tail on the examination table behind him and nods a bit more. "Okay, cool! I'm down with that."

"Ah, I'm so glad.. most people who come in with STFS (Sudden Transformation Syndrome) don't accept it so well. Anyway, you're perfectly healthy, so you should head home, I've got more patients to see!" he ushers the new snakeling out of the little room into a life of serpentitude.. pausing to say. "Make sure to get home quick, though.. your legs are going to change to coils in about half an hour!"

Original FA post, circa Jan 6th, 2007:

A short short tiny small story. Actually, it's more of a yarn.. or a tale, or an ancedote.

...ok, it's a glorified joke! But you have to start somewhere, right?

There is now a sequel to this tiny tale, here: (CTF warning!) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7319565/ [I'll make this a Weasyl link later on, when the sequel in question is uploaded here, but for now, the FA link can stay]

Credits to Slyth for writing the start of the first line and getting me started/inspired.

This work isn't trying to be anything but slightly funny and cute. But if you think it's arousing, good for you!

New Weasyl Commentary:

Hrmm.. I don't know if I should even put this up here. It's so tiny! I suppose it has to be bad, compared to some of my newer work, but it's so short that 'good' or 'bad' don't really apply, because it ends before either quality can assert itself. :P

It may only be a short little spurt of fiction, but it's quite fun nonetheless! I do rather like the idea of scales and snakehood gradually spreading over one's body - needless to say, I really wish STFS were a real condition!

      I'm sure all my friends would like STFS to be real and wish that it would afflict them in very specific ways. :}

Anyway, thank you for the comment and the fave as well! c:

Heh, I guess so. Given this fandom, I suspect it kind of goes without saying.

Either way, you're quite welcome on both counts!

I forgot how short, but nice this was. Such syndromes are so much nicer than the junk we really have to deal with.

Heh, maybe this guy ends up visiting his doctor again.

"Another Visit"?! Get real! Clearly nothing else TF-related will ever happen to this guy.. >_>
