Late Night by Amber-Aria

Late Night

Amber-Aria

This is an in-stream commission for Cilan, who requested a three-hour speedpaint of this lovely scene. Sara, having worked late into the night cleaning and maintaining her weapons, has fallen asleep at the table, rag still clutched in her hand. Selene has brought a blanket to cover the dear with, but she looks mildly unimpressed that she's worked until so late.

This piece is a pretty good example of what can be expected from a three hour speedpaint when I have a more complex scene to work with. It was a delightful challenge, even if the darned table decided to be a pain because perspective hates me.

This is so sweet =3 LOVE the lighting and the tones you have going on. Damn your wings are so good too~<3 Wow the whole wing draping as the character sleeping thing is something I never thought of =O It'd make sense that a relaxed state would have 'em kind of sprawl out a little. The perspective of the table ain't that bad. I mean, c'mon, you speedpainted this! Perspective is really annoying with some things and takes time to set up (which drives a lot of folks bonkers). I really like this one =3

Aww, thank you so much. Wings are quickly becoming one of my favourite things to draw, since they're right fun to make flowy and expressive~ It certainly made up for that stupid table, and I'm glad to hear it at least looks okay. Perspective is one of those necessary evils, like drawing hands, that I try to keep myself from avoiding constantly, even if I'm not the best at it and tend to get really mad at it. >>

It's a lovely gesture, but with that wingspan you'd need a much bigger blanket. Maybe a little snap collar or something to hold it there...

Aww, that sounds cute. Almost like a little cape! And yeah, that's true, but I'm sure with the wings being covered with feathers, they're warm enough for comfort's sake, so covering the rest would take more priority. x3
