Also known as The Basalisk's Ribs, this natural formation is said to lead to a grand expanse of ancient ruins. An adventurous tanuki and his small kitsune muse overlook the land, taking their last rest before journeying towards the sunrise.

When not working on drawing and colouring sketches for my challenge, I've started to draw pictures as warm-ups on my 3DS Colors! program, to keep my colour theory and painting ability in shape. Usually I'll start them before I go to sleep, or during my lunches and coffee breaks at work.

This picture is a bit more than those doodles though, and is an early birthday gift for one of my best friends,   erolunai. I decided to draw him (in tanuki form) and his muse Sarah being adventurous. I once did a really simple sketch of his tanuki self doing some exploring that he absolutely loved, so I figured that he'd enjoy a more detailed picture in the same vein~
