Finally, my submission for *Genolover's "United Colors of One Piece" project~ I've actually had this picture done since Christmas Eve, but for some reason, I didn't scan it until now.

I've been watching One Piece with one of my buddies for a good long while now. We started watching the subbed anime together as a fun thing to share, just a couple episodes every so often when I would visit, and now we go through nearly four episodes a day when we sit down in his room to eat dinner.

It's a shame that so many of my friends tend to push this anime away because of the unusual style or the strange balance between goofy and serious it has. But this series has grown on me, and has become my "feel-good" show. It always manages to get me into a better mood, even if I'm really feeling awful. Currently, I'm at episode 168, a good ways into the Skypeia arc, if anyone's curious. :3

I had originally planned to draw Sanji or Usopp, since they're my two favourite characters, but I couldn't finish either picture over the weekend since they were on my computer, so in the end, I decided to draw Robin. Typically, I have a hard time liking female characters, but something about her is absolutely fascinating, even if she honestly freaked me out a bit at first. She's exotic (and extremely pretty), she's smart, innovative with her powers, and quite mysterious. That, and she's relatively polite to Sanji! *laugh*

The disc beside her beneath the glass-holding arm is supposed to be one of those glass-topped tables that has a dimpled texture over the surface.

The main colour here is supposed to be a blue teal. I threw in some yellow for contrast. Coloured with markers, and enhanced with textures in Photoshop.
