This is lovely picture. I have chickens, and if I lay down on my front on the ground so that my eyes are level with theirs, or even below theirs, they come over and look at me, first with one eye and then the other and I always think it is very curious and interesting to be stared at by non-human animals. They acknowledge that I exist! And that I'm a thing that may or may not give them food or dig up up some earth so they can search for worms!
