The Naomi incident was a lot less creepy and way more awe inspiring to me. She's watching over them all.

A pristine white fae, with navy blue wings, is the watcher of all the dragons leaving home to join the war between the elements. She silently tallies every single soldier on a massive granite rock face with her claws, and the marks reach higher, rising, dizzying, towards the heavens with each passing day. She has been counting them for as long as she can remember, and refuses to break from her duties even at the most profound provocation (though most are respectful enough to let her continue in relative peace.)

There is a battle going on in her mind, no doubt. She longs for a day when she no longer has to tally the dragons leaving, a day when she can finally have a break and stop worrying about the realm for just a little while… But for now, and possibly forever, she will continue keeping her silent watch over the exalts with her piercing pink eyes, and making marks in the stone as she always has. Mothers will continue to tell their hatchlings comforting stories of the fae that watches, as they fall asleep in their nests.
