Alkali Is A Bad Influence On Cole

Alkali Is A Bad Influence On Cole, Makes Him A Giant Lucario: The Story

Buizilla and Alkali rubbed their hands together deviously. They were hunched over a table together, snickering together. Anyone who might have been watching would probably describe them as downright conniving. And for good reason too; they were plotting the downfall of a mutual friend.

“We’re going to corrupt him so much,” Buizilla giggled.

“Darn right we are. He’s going to get big, and love it,” Alkali agreed with a smirk. “We just need to get him to drink this shake. It’ll be easy… right?”

“Right.”

And then the two of them laughed, long and evil. Yup. Completely normal friendship stuff.

Cole sighed and continued drawing at his computer desk. Another boring weekend at home, with nothing to do except draw butts and scream about Daisy. Sure it was fun, but lately it was losing its luster. The Lucario squirmed in his seat and readjusted the shirt around his chest spike. He needed something else to fill the hours with. Something new and exciting. Maybe he could pull up Paper Mario and do another play through or-

The doorbell rang downstairs. By the time Cole got downstairs and opened the door though, there was no one in sight. He peeked his head out the door and looked up and down the street. No one to be seen. He was just about to go back in when the Lucario looked down to see a small bottle. Squinting his eyes in distrust, he nonetheless reached down to pick it up. It was made of metal and cold to the touch, as if it were insulated inside. Popping the top off revealed that it was filled with a chocolate milkshake of some kind, still freshly made. Very strange.

But Cole wasn’t going to turn down a free shake. This just meant he could put off going out for food for a little while longer. He sat the bottle down at his desk and pulled up Photoshop once more. Time to get back to the drawing-

BOOP. An instant message appeared on screen in his browser window.

“Heyyyy dude. Did you get our gift?” It was from Alkali.

“You mean the bottle? Yeh. It’s right here.”

BOOP. “You should drink it <w<” This time it was sent from Buizilla. That seemed mighty suspicious. Almost as if the roo and Buizel had been coordinating their messages somehow. And usually, that meant shenanigans. He wasn’t really in the mood for that. Cole was just about to drop the shake into the trashcan when he paused and thought a little more. Just a few minutes ago, he’d been complaining about being bored. Why not at least give this a chance? Could be just the excitement he was looking for.

“Fiiiine. Just gimme a second”

The Lucario brought the cup up to his nose and gave it a test sniff. Chocolate. He couldn’t sense anything out of place. No dangerous aromas that would indicate any foul play. For all he could tell it was a simple chocolate shake. With a shrug the ‘mon took a long gulp. The cold liquid ran down the back of his throat and chilled his mouth. But soon after that, it was replaced with a warm and tingling sensation. That caught Cole’s attention. He’d never had a shake before that could do something like that. Before he could type out a question to either of his friends, both of them sent messages at the same time.

“You’re gonna be fine. We just gave you a little something to help you join us as giants <w<” Alkali sent.

“Just think about getting bigger. You have a growth ability now… give it a shot~” Buizilla said.

Cole raised an eyebrow. “A growth ability? What are those two dorks thinking. I’m not interested in growing,” he muttered. A twinge of vibration passed over the Lucario’s body even as he said it though. He shuddered in his seat and he was struck with a sudden sense of vertigo. The computer chair beneath his rump cracked and crumbled, sending Cole tumbling to his butt. With a grunt of pain he rolled off the chair to rub his tender backside.

The Pokémon looked down at the wreckage of his chair, a little worried. That was his favorite computer chair… how was he supposed to draw now? Looking at his desktop, Cole realized that he wouldn’t be able to draw even if he did have a chair. The tablet pen was much too small in his hand now. Just by estimate Cole figured he was probably about twice as large as before. It seemed all his clothes had grown with him too somehow. That was a relief. Getting big was one thing, but being naked at the same time? He would’ve been far too embarrassed.

BOOP. Another set of messages appeared on screen from his friends. Buizilla just sent a teasing note about coming outside before he got too big for his house, while Alkali instructed him to drink the whole shake, not just part of it. But both of them said together that he should watch his thoughts, and not think too hard about getting bigger. Cole huffed, annoyed that his friends would assume he’d be totally okay with getting huge. Not just okay with it in fact, but wanting it to happen!

Although it did feel interesting to get larger. Not bad or good, just… interesting. The Lucario grit his teeth as another tingle of growth shot through his body from his chest out toward his limbs. He tried to stand up and start moving but his head bumped into the ceiling, causing him to hunch over. That was two injuries in less than five minutes; being giant could be dangerous clearly. Within the span of time it took to think that, Cole realized his neck and shoulders were pressing against the ceiling again. He was still getting larger.

With a grunt of annoyance, the Lucario picked up the small bottle of shake and drained the rest of it in a single gulp. Then he got to his hands and knees and began the long process of getting out of his house. The doorways were too small for him to fit through usually now, but he couldn’t afford to wait. He still lived here, and he wanted that to continue even after this giant sized adventure. After much squeezing he was mostly able to get through the doorway, but the stairs down to the first floor were an entirely different story. No sooner had he crawled on top of them did they collapse entirely, sending him tumbling down face first into the floor. Despite his best effort he really was making a mess of the place. He didn’t even want to think of how badly his room’s floor and ceiling had been cracked.

Deep in his chest Cole felt another flare up of his growth; he decided now wasn’t a good time to lick his wounds from the fall or to dwell on the broken stairs. This time as he crawled through the front door he found that he was stuck. His whole upper torso was free but his rump found that his hips were just a bit too wide for the door. Looking around a little nervously, the ‘mon gritted his teeth and pulled forward using the grass for leverage. It took a few attempts but finally he freed his tookus… along with the door frame, wedged around his hips like an oddly shaped hula hoop.

Brushing off the debris and pulling the door frame away, Cole huffed and looked around. Surely his friends were close by if this was their fault. He couldn’t quite see over the tops of the houses though, and it looked like they weren’t on this street. If only he were just a little bigger. Then he realized, that was totally possible now. Cole’s eyes lidded as he grinned, finally getting the idea of what was going on. At first he hadn’t wanted to admit it. Now there wasn’t much to do except be honest: the growing had felt good. And being this large was kinda fun, getting to see a whole new perspective. As he thought about being bigger, the growth ability kicked in yet again and soon Cole’s head had passed above the tops of the two story houses on his street. Now that he was paying more attention to it he noticed that it wasn’t just his height that was changing. Cole had gone from a little chubby to positively beefy over the course of the last few minutes. His torso was practically triangular, and his rump was built with a bubble butt that would make bodybuilders blush.

“Oh look, he finally got big enough to see. Hey Cole! Over here,” a familiar kangaroo’s voice called. Cole turned around to see the pair of his friends standing on a street corner a few blocks down. At his current size it only took a few careful steps over the fences of neighboring houses to get over there. He was pretty sure the neighbors wouldn’t mind the giant footprints left in their grass.

Buizilla giggled and waved up at Cole. “Hey there, how’s it going up there big guy?”

Cole crossed his arms and tried to put on a mock annoyed face. “Well what do you two have to say? Why the random gift?”

“Oh we just figured you’d like being macro. So we gave you a little push,” Bui explained with a wide smile.

“Besides, the growth ability we gave you only activates if you really want to get big. So all you have to do to get back to normal is to not want it,” Alkali continued. “But from what I’m seeing here, looks like you’re having fun.”

Cole’s face turned a little red at that, before he looked over his body again. No use trying to hide it; he looked good this way. The Lucario brought a bicep up for a quick pose and a cocky grin when he saw it bulge upward against his shirt. The fabric ripped just slightly at the seams, stretched nice and tight over the mound of beef.

“I feel like he could be bigger…” Alkali said, rubbing the back of his neck with a hand. He gave a wry grin to Buizilla, making sure he said it loud enough that Cole could easily hear.

“Yes, I agree,” Bui replied with sincerity. “Much bigger.”

Cole felt that familiar tingling sensation right behind his chest spike again, just as his grinning reached a peak. He could definitely get used to this new power, especially with bad influences like Alkali and Buizilla on his side.

Buizilla and I are paragons of innocence and definitely don't have plans to corrupt our Lucario friend, Cole, into being a giant.
