Warmup Scene: Novra

The warm summer weather spread across the field like a pair of hands caressing the Earth. Novra lay spread eagle in the grass, letting the sunbeams wash over him. It was a perfectly normal day in the countryside; a warm sun to rest under, without a care in the world. It was such a lazy weekend so far that the resting feline didn’t pay any mind to the blowing wind over his body. If anything it felt nice, a cool wind to contrast the warm sun. The weather wasn’t predicted to be anything short of gorgeous all day with some stray wind gusts here or there.

But a sudden blast of wind flew across the field and through the brown cat’s fur, blowing his tank top wildly and causing the bell on his collar to suddenly shift. He didn’t pay any attention to it, purring away as he stretched out. The ringing of his bell signaled a change in the resting cat as his usually beefy arms bulked up instantly. They throbbed and filled out all the leftover space in his tank top drawing the bottom of it to just barely let his belly button and the bottom of his abs peek out. The workout shorts on his thighs stretched to accommodate a set of thickening legs like tree trunks.

Whether Novra was consciously aware of it or not, he began to bat away at the bell on his collar. Maybe it was just his cat instincts kicking in, as satisfied as he was with the warm sunbeams and restful nap. He couldn’t resist a ringing bell in this state. Each ring of his bell made it harder for his arms to bend, piling on pound after pound of thick sinew and muscle. His shorts were made for plenty of stretch and tear, but they could only handle so much work before they started to rip along the sides. They looked more like a pair of underwear with how tight and pulled up on his thighs they were.

His body put on muscle greedily, eating up each extra inch of muscle and continuing to bulk from there. The grass under him flattened out entirely under the increasing tons of feline, bits and pieces being pulled up with his growth to reveal the dirt beneath. His body widened, nearly just as wide with muscle as he was tall and still going from there.

“Ahh… that was the best nap I ever had,” Novra said, finally opening his eyes and letting his arm rest at his side again. It landed with a ‘thump,’ heavier than he remembered it. Leaning forward Novra saw just what had happened and furrowed his brows. “Dang it… again? Stupid sunbeams. Makes it too easy to relax.”

Oh well. Might as well just go whole hog on it now, he thought as he brought a paw up to hit his collar one more time.
