A spontaneous burn on the back of a commission I am working on to test how the wood will take color. I think the verdict is favorable
This is woodburning, the color was added using watercolors: Orange and olive green.

Thank you so much!! The commission on the other side is a portrait of a black kitten in an orange blanket with little white ghosties all over it and since it is pretty much the entire span of the wood (the blanket) and the kitten is pure black the orange of the blanket would be a nice way to make it pop. Since she enjoys autumn so much and the color orange I thought some pumpkins would be a nice little tester! Plus it was late September, early October when I started the kitty so it seemed appropriate =D

This reminds me of something that would be on my grandmother's kitchen wall. Love how this came out. Awesome use of color!
