Watercolor

The watercolor bug bit me yesterday and considering everything thats going on I just went with it. No plans...just...pure playing with colors and a sketch I did last year.

Before I got to the background I was planning on naming this one Razzberry because of the streaks in her hair and the markings on her face, but once I started playing with the background it began giving this overall explosion look to it. Combine that with the mischievous look on her face, I'd say rebellious Razzberry is up to no good.

I surprised myself with how much I enjoyed working on this tiny little thing and at how well I was able to control the watercolors. I normally use watercolor pencils which are much different than its tube/pallet parent which I always had trouble with when I was younger and found that the pencils gave you that control that I lacked. I don't know if its my better understanding of different mediums now or being able to follow other artists works in their creative process but I think I finally get it =)
