i wanted a new art improvement layout and i like this a lot so i hope you do too :3c

LAST YR i didn't write about the months but this yr i'm gonna because i actually remember a lot of this year LOL

JAN - started off the new year with my baby kitty taytay passing which kinda ruined my art streak for a while, and i started off a little weak weeps... jan and feb didn't have too much of substance because of that, but also because i left to go see gillbear to go to disney and visit oregon for a few weeks!

FEB - feb didn't have a lot either for the above reason also!

MAR - i was focusing on my store and creating prints, so i put my first sticker set in here since i worked really hard on it and still am super proud of it <3

APR - i worked forever on this one print for a suuji zine! most of my time went into that and other projects but i felt this was the best display of my improvement :9

MAY - i did a lot of illustration work, however not much to show for it because i was also working on moving out and packing shit and spending time with my family prior to moving!

JUN - i moved to oregon! and as a result i literally had like this stupid drawing i drew over of gray and kizuna from stupid meme images LOL it was either that or pencil scribbles which weren't very good so... y'know..

JUL - i drew a little more but july was still pretty sparse ;w; i got hit with some personal life stuff which slowed down art for a bit. boo

AUG - still kinda sad over things but recovering, i did a lot of warmups and experimental stuff this month! most of which i had to pick thru but i really liked this pic of my gemsona so.. it stays

SEP - i was getting my groove back in september and drew a lot! picking for sep was hard but i went with this pic because i really love what i did with it. was testing out my painter brush again and relying on it a bit too much, oops.

OCT - more painterly stuff and lots of character designing and experimentation!

NOV - i tried to do huevember which got stopped before i even hit day 12, oops, life kinda got in the way :9;;; maybe next year i'll stay on track? picking from the pics i did of it was hard though.

DEC - SUPER SUPER BUSY OH MY GOD i didn't draw super much this month and i planned to try and do a nice big piece to end the year, but OH WELL that's what the new year is for.

SO OVERALL i didn't achieve my goal with backgrounds, i mean, i sometimes did, sometimes didn't? ;;;; it was pretty hit or miss this year, i think. but i can see improvement and i'm only looking more forward to how my art develops. thanks so much for sticking with me thru the year of continuing my art journey <3
