"This one here is Vega, and this one is Canopus." The warm, echoing voice of the goddess said. Reaching out across the expanse of space to fall gently into the ears of all who observed her in the night sky. She had seen many things in her long travels through the universe, learning the names and places that mortals and divines had tread. As well as many places they had not. As her world and many more grew out of the infancy of life, they began to explore the earth, sea and skies for answers on what was around them. Yet little could be gleamed about the heavens that awaited them every night, not when they were yet so very far from their homes to try to visit and learn. But such was not an issue for the Goddess of Life, who even now stretched across all of the night sky, barely able to shift her fluffy tail and form out of the way of the moon as it gently brushed over her fur.

"This one here, the brightest of all is Sirius." She said, pointing at the star as it grew and glowed brighter under her fingers gentle touch. Even light-years nothing to her as she wove the tapestry of stars into a good map for the children of the world below to read. "Always when you are lost, look toward the brightest star. It will guide you home, and keep you company in the darkness." Smiling, Kami saw the little mortals all taking note and remarked silently to herself that it was not just the star that would always be there for them.
