Here's the (2020) updated reference of Hyva, Goddess of Luck, Daughter of Chance.

When Kami wandered the universe, she found many planets and civilizations. Some were young and still learning about themselves, others thrived and even sought out the stars like she did. On some there was belief and faith, and on others science and logic ruled. She even encountered other divine beings, though never was it more shocking for her than when she discovered Hyva.

Born from the will of a race much like the Mother of Life, the younger Goddess of Luck was unfortunately cast aside by her people in the advancement from faith to science. Left to wither and dwindle, she was cared for by Kami, whose powers naturally aided and healed the starved goddess. They did not get along too well at first. Hyva was a wild and free spirit, wanting to tease and play with mortals with casual disregard often in her actions for the way of things on any world they found. Kami would often scold or lecture her, and the two bickered constantly even as Hyva held a deep gratitude for the other goddess saving her.

Yet Hyva learned in time that it was just the way of a mother, someone who loved and cared about her children. She might not have been born by her, much less existed in the same galaxy or planet, but clearly the older Goddess had taken a shine to Hyva and wanted her to grow as a being. In time, she took more to heart the lessons and advice that Kami gave her, and when they returned to the toxic galaxy where Kami was born Hyva found herself a new home that happily welcomed her. She would never be as peaceful or mature as Kami, but Hyva understood Life well and what it meant to influence the fates of so many beings with her powers. She became worshiped, loved, respected, even desired given all of her antics. And Hyva will always grin, laugh, and coyly dare you to try your luck~
