I’ve been working on more character rotations lately, and I finally finished one for our bug friend Scutum here! Rotations are arguably the hardest part of character design and are therefore very technical, but I find them really rewarding to get right. :’D I’ve found new ways to approach them, which has made the process much easier and far more accurate, so I think this is the best rotation I’ve done to date. I’ll need to do an updated mockup of his wings and open shell, as well as a rotation for his shield form, but that’ll come later! Since he has a symmetrical design I didn’t necessarily need to show all 8 views this time, but I’ll need all the views for reference eventually anyway. Feels a bit more complete that way too!
