A style test of sorts. Lineless art has always been both intriguing and intimidating for me, as most of my art relies on my line art skills to make them look finished. I do, however, want to make at least one of my story ideas feature a style like this, and I think Moth to the Flame is a good candidate. Either way, this was a fun way to play around with Procreate’s assortment of texture brushes, as I wanted both texture and depth that would otherwise be there in a sketch or line art. I’ll have to see how this translates to a full character drawing and to backgrounds, potentially. In any case, I think I’m on to something!
