You know those pictures you do where it comes out really nice? You should be proud of it but you're not because you know you wo't be able to do it again for a good few years. This is one of those.
I mean I'm proud of it but i'm ashamed to share it cause I feel like it's a fluke. However if I didn't share these then all there'd be in y gallery is scribbles XD.
More fanart.
My scanner really enjoys picking up the texture of that damn watercolor paper
Heh, thank you c:
While I'm still proud of it there are definitely things I'd change. Small things I've learned since.
Heh, I just get frustrated when things come out nice and I'm not quite sure how I did it. These are usually the times I learn the most but it's still frustrating.
What exactly do you mean, like the backstory behind the piece itself? Or the character?
I guess both! I'm familiar with Motorcity but I don't really watch it so I don't know how much of this is canon or your interpretation.
Kaia only appears a few times so there's not much canon to work with. She's not the most consistent characters either.
This definitely is more my sort of take on her. She doesn't really have many somber moments in the show, which was kind of what I was going for.
There isn't much story behind the piece itself I wanted to do fanart and also wanted to mess with some watercolors.
I'm rambling, I hope I at least touched base to what you were getting at. If not, I'm sorry, I can be a mite bit dense :I

I definitely know the feeling! This picture does look good, lots of complicated colour combinations. And don't feel bad about it being a "fluke", art is always a fluke at least in some way.
And I'm curious about the backstory behind this. :)
