[INFO] Forced artistic break

Hello everyone!

Here I decided to post my actual status, to keep you informed, and to explain a little my long inactivity.

The actual laptop I'm working with was bought in September 2010 (a Dell Studio). This was a really good computer, with Intel Core i7, Windows 7, 4 Go RAM, etc... BUT, I wasn't aware of what kind of hardware was better for the work I need to do, and I made a mistake. A BIG mistake.

This mistake was: buying an AMD component (the graphics board): an ATI Radeon HD 4650. So, what was the real problem with it? The problem was that not only AMD is clearly worse than Intel and N-Vidia in my point of view now, but in addition, 2 or 3 years after I bought my computer (and it was a new one, not a second-hand one), AMD announced that they will stop the updates of their graphics boards of series 2xxx, 3xxx and obviously, 4xxx (obviously because it won't be funny if I can still use a graphics board of a max 3 years old laptop. No! Not funny at all!).

So, after this, my laptop being also exhausted by windows 7 because it had to support it for 2 or 3 years, I decided to reinstall my OS. For this, I was used to reformat my PC on Windows XP computers and reinstall it with a DVD-rom. BIP! ERROR! Being unable to find how to reformat my computer, I used Linux to replace Windows and tried to insert the DVD-Rom Dell sent me with the laptop. Unfortunately, despite the fact that there was a long number similar to a licence key on the DVD box, I noticed that there was no windows installer in, only drivers. Which means that I just lost my windows 7 licence.

From this, a friend managed to show me a programm who could find the original windows licence key of my laptop. The programm worked very well, so, after I installed Windows 7 with a DVD iso I mounted, I entered my licence key, and there, surprise, it said: "Your licence key can be used only once" and so, even if that's the same computer, I can't enter it again. F**K YOU WINDOW$!!!

After this discover, I had to make a lot of manipulations. I was once on Windows 7 with 30 days of try, in dual boot with windows 8 Bêta (Beta versions of windows are free, so that's why I downloaded it, for the moment I couldn't use windows 7 anymore), after this, I found how to crack windows 7 and used it with Linux in dual boot (because I learnt how to install in dual boot and use Linux) and here I am, after several manipulations on my laptop, with obsolete graphics board's driver or even WITHOUT graphic board's driver thanks to AMD inability to keep updated their not very young components.

So until now, it was my processor (an Intel Core i7, happily I have a really good processor and Intel is a professional company) which has supported all of my graphic works essentially, but unfortunately, after all the manipulations I made on my poor laptop I guess, now, it begins to feel old and exhausted. From the month of July, it was hard to make even a reference for Kawa, the main character of a comics project: http://akelun.deviantart.com/art/Kawa-2-Reference-BONUS-Duel-outfit-544417293 and now, actually, it is almost impossible to draw in 1600x900 pixels and I can't even continue a 3D modelling which is actually staying in this state: http://akelun.tumblr.com/post/136749172839/my-character-kawa-in-3d-made-with-blender-276 (the hands and feet are not done, the mouth inside neither, and I have to add hair, textures and rig, but all of this is impossible because if I try to continue the model, everything becomes really laggy).

Happily, as I found a long job and despite the fact that I had to begin to reimburse a credit from my bank (otherwise, I would have gotten it earlier), I could normally buy a new powerful computer (not a laptop this time) between the beginning of march and the beginning of April. Which means that I could continue my drawings and my 3D creations in some months! =D

That's a really great news for me! But of course, from now and until I receive this new computer and install everything correctly, I couldn't make anything new (except maybe very light / low poly 3D creations and drawings in low resolution, but I don't think I'll do it, so don't expect anything from me until I receive my new computer).

I thank you for your understanding and I'm keen on apologizing for all this inactivity without any news.
Have all a good day! ;)
