I use to draw foxes on paper with pencil and detailed in the fur. It wasn't immediately obvious how to translate such a thing to digital art, but I think I've got a great start on the techniques now. I re-inked this picture here of a foxxo pouncing to test it all out.

I think I'm done with lineart. I've tried it for years. It just doesn't ever end up good in the slightest. Painting is easier, faster, and gives much better results. I didn't want to do lineart anyway. I wanted to do paintings. I don't know why I didn't just dive at the start.

An important thing I notice is that you can't really show 3D on black. The paws look just a bit odd where they overlap. When I design pictures myself, I'll have to keep that in mind.

The tail isn't suppose to be all black, but I started with a black undercoat and it look LIT, so I left it.
