Commission for Clawz of his character posing as the Grim Reaper.
I really took way too long on this, and for that I apologize. But in the span it took me, I was able to apply new techniques I had been playing around with during my time off. I think it paid off much better in the end of the client.
In truth, I was having the worst time with parts of this picture, it was hard x.x. But, I really got to it tonight, and had fun finishing it up.
In the end, I can only say,
trees are fucking hard l8l.

Of course trees are hard! and you drew dry trees, imagine drawing them with all that foliage. Right? XD Still, you did a great job on them! :3
Comparing with the illumination change you did in DA, the darkness in this one I see more fit because he's a reaper ( A creature of the shadow ). Both effects are good but for my opinion I like this one more. =p Either way, I love all the post effects you put in this, mostly the red reflection in the scythe, it gives the impression it's very sharp.
Now something I'll point out about the arm which's holding the scythe is... careful with the forearm, take a second look at it and tell me if you can see what's not good with it, can you?
Back to the background, I love it! 8D The deep fog reminds me of those scary scenes in forests which is seen in games and movies, you just got it amazingly right!
You mention this was a hard work to make this picture, I hope there's no problem pointing out these mistakes, this and that... Nevertheless, it's still a great picture, well done! :3
