After this picture of Mel, I had the urge to draw "casual" pictures of the rest of the crew. Though with the humans the idea seems to be less "not wearing their usual accessories" and more "wearing an alternative outfit". I've been meaning to draw the characters in alternative outfits for ages, so I figured this was a good opportunity.

Also, it recently occurred to me that Sandalio's hair is just long enough to be tied back, so I was curious about how that would look. It was kind of fun to try to keep him looking consistent and recogniseable with both a different outfit and a (slightly) different hairstyle. It's easy to fall into the trap of characters only being identifiable by their clothes and hair, and I want to try to avoid that.

I'll probably do one of these of Buzzy next, since he really needs more attention in my gallery. So stay tuned for prepubescent nerds!
