This is Chaujen, which is definitely not is real name as then it'd be easier for his family to find him. He is a runaway that has disowned his family for their complacency in operating a chonk of the wah dynasty bureaucracy.

He he works for SRRO as a professional wayfinder and checks regional flux events to see if they are still suitable for travel. Additionally checking for detours that may or maynot be reasonable in the meantime.

(SRRO being Search, rescue and recovery Office. They do adventurer stuff vaguely but more focused on rescue than "punch the goblins that don't know why they are protecting that cave.")
