Mephitidea - The Mephit
Mephit while related to Dooks have very different associations and are distinct from dooks.

They are relatively rare compared the mainstays of Dooks, Borks, Bleats and so on. The average Mephit seems to be slightly more powerful than the average Spellflux, but if that is from their shape or whatever selection process that picks new lasting Mephits being selective it isn't clear.

While there are plenty of vectors and situations that can turn Spellflux into skunks, but the shape typically decays into another form relatively quickly for the strength of the shape.

Mephits have reputations as agents of schemes and conspiracies making all references to "This stinks" and "Smells like a Mephit" to refer to suspected under handed tactics.

Mephits aligned transformation vectors include, Foods and drinks with stripe motifs, perfumes, incense and the amplifier of physically trying to display the distinctive stripe on the head.

Mephits themselves are better adjusted to create mental influence effects that better allows them to influence others into the role of co-conspirators to the target's unawareness. Be this through simple force of personality and charisma or prepared hypnosis setups is on a case by case basis.

Stable Mephits can easily influence unstable mephits.

All of this leads to Mephits being distrusted as the status quo because of the apparent impossibility of a stand alone Mephit without an agenda for someone else. The Mephits that establish themselves do very well in leadership roles if their intentions are worn on their sleeves.
