Mana Tear - Mustelidae Lineup

Adalore

Expansion on the Mana Tear shapes that the player and populace can be.

--- Mustelidae - The Dook
Weasel, Ferret, Otter and Badger.

Named by their dominate verbal tick which always surfaces when they are excited or laugh.

Generally able to move on all fours the rest of the spellfluxed see them as more beastly than other shapes.

Dooks are embodiments of contagious excitement and tend to drag other people into situations that they would have never agreed to otherwise. Should this be magical or otherwise is hard to say. This effect is much stronger on other dooks but oddly has very little effect on badgers.

Least weasels, the smallest Dook, are exceptionally distractable and tend to live either at 110% or at 0 while they nap.

Ferrets and otters, while prone to being overwelmed by the Dook mania need to be riled up first.

Badgers are one of the few dooks that are relatively chill and can keep a community's dook population in check. They take a protector role in their communities.

Dooks don't generally have significant populations in communities, they either in low numbers or are the dominate group. This is enforced by the other shapes because Dooks have a very low "Critical mass" % which causes them to suddenly covert a large populace into more dooks. This is less due to the transfiguration effect and more that Dook Mania can cause a lot of property damage before it calms down. Badgers can moderate this but rarely is there enough badgers around to control the event if suddenly the dook population goes from 20% to 95%.

Dooks are also represented by manifests in the wild, these feral(as in not fully sapient because they are not spellfluxed people) manifestations are just the concept of excitement and fun looking for new playmates. Frequently travelers get swept up in their games and join the group for a time against their wills.
