The lights seeped out into the thick velvet of the night as the line towards the local tavern shrunk with the winds steadily increasing outside and everyone wanting to go inside otherwise being inside. Today was a party day for most. Weather was less than desirable and no one wanted to otherwise deal with other associated problems or issues. Indeed, “Javvy’s Place” as per name, was THE place to be in the now. Easily among the most sophisticated of such establishments, the attention to detail in construction ranging from shape to indeed it’s very vivid colors attracted all from most timid to outgoing.

Most visitors were expected to be of a recurring nature, coming time and time again and becoming regulars, but for all attendees there were those specific visitors, one time or rare that would garner attention. Perhaps not of the entire club but definitely a good portion of patrons. Even some of the organizers or employees themselves took note. However even these events need specification. Not everyone would allure or take note or notice of similar events.

Ace was no party animal. His raising would indicate a personality the farthest from such. Birthdays had merely been a casual event in his life signifying progress. Never before had he ventured beyond that of casual celebration. At 20, the outside pressure had been pretty absolute at such a point. Any and all friends had directed him to explore a more active celebration mantra. Areas mattered little, the common message was the one that won over: He needed to get out with the crowd and experience a full party of any sort, regardless of specification to him or not.

Deliberating had been somewhat tedious as expected. Nobody expected him to actually show up. For that matter neither did he himself expect to be going. It figured however that it was time for a change of pace in how he perceived said actions. The decision was made and was final: He was going and nothing was saying otherwise. He looked around as he arrived his destination and indeed cleared the waiting that had otherwise halted his progress.

Ace partook in his usual traditional dressing. Apparel listing in from a bishop shaped hat, long silk like overbearing coat or shirt of sorts. Inwards the same overbearing wear taking a darker color compared to the lighter outside. If you had to pick the most foreign looking visitor or guest, Ace wasn’t hard to pick out. The Hostess for the club was rather busy this night on the inside so a guest greeter was personally greeting clients this night.

The guest greeter may not have known, but other more frequent persons picked up rather soon. Ace had a thin, but rather large tall-ish frame, and his paws were easily dead giveaways given their rather sharp nature. Ace was still rather secluded as he made his way throughout the inside, making little contact and settling down in one of the smaller corner seats. That did not stop one of the more premium dancers, Clover from rather easily singling him out with silence and efficiency. Clover was currently off duty relaxing over by the bar, biding hir time, listening to the music and having a few drinks.

Clover was similar to that of the actual are that employed hir. Shi sported a vibrant green coat of fur on top of a dashing over the top personality. Like the music as well shi was quite active and outgoing in conversation and in the way shi performed. Currently on break, a suave full necklace of pink, and a slim, simple blue dress, perhaps sort of an “on break” signs, if not only to dress appropriately for the club. Needless to say, it wouldn’t be much a surprise if he knew that anything was coming, and with that, shi left to find Bombshell, another regular visitor.

Chakat Bombshell may appear somewhat normal sized for many, but in truth is among the larger of hir species standing at 6’1 where most do not pass a height of 5’8. Shi was a snow leopard with the appropriate patterns. Shi however was taking the moments to dance along the dance floor enjoying hir time here when not receiving assignments or otherwise working. Once found, Clover wasted no time in notifying Bombshell of the situation.

“Bombshell! Bombshell!” –Clover spoke out amongst the raving music in the background and various lights.

Bombshell couldn’t quite respond adequately over the blaring tunes themselves and subsequently asked for clarification.

“Ace is here! Ace is here!” – Clover repeated with higher enthusiasm.

Bombshell was not convinced, “Puppy you’ve had too much to drink. Why would Ace be here?”

Clover undeterred, responded standing hir ground, “Really! He’s near the bar”

Bombshell frowned now, “Now I KNOW you’re making this up. You know Ace doesn’t drink.”

“Not drinking!! But he’s here sitting in the seats!” Clover repeated.

Bombshell took a good look at Clover before responding, “This better not be some sort of trick Clover, no games tonight.”

With Bombshell following Clover quickly retraced hir steps back to the area of first spotting. Slightly before reaching their destination, Clover insisted that Bombshell not step out in the open, much less make intent known or at least not yet. Bombshell nodded and peaked around the corner. To hir surprise, Clover had not been playing tricks. There in the corner lied the tall, somewhat lanky figure with all the appropriate cloth. His red color showing off as the fall kicked off into gear.

The Waitress, Sarah was waiting him as they watched.

“Hello there!” Sarah spoke with an upbeat manner. “I’m Sarah, and I’ll be the waitress here for the night. What can I do you for Mr Big?”

Ace chuckled to himself, “Just an eggnog or something similar. If you got nuts I’d like some of those too in the drink”

Sarah was snickering and laughing slightly, “I see, nuts in your drink, quite the change there from the usual patrons. Also you dress funny, I’m not gonna lie.”

Ace took in the moment to realize his mistake and facepalmed. “Interesting dress code yourself” making references to Sarah’s lack of cloth in the southern regions.

Sarah smirked, “If you think I’m a special dresser, you’ve obviously not seen my fiancé.”

“I see” Ace calmly replied

“Mhmm, but gotta get some tips and my unique style of dress tends to make patrons happier” Sarah retorted, casually giving a small excited shake of her body, nothing serious but it was enough to receive a big “WHOOOP” from one of the other patrons.

“Will that be all?”

“Yes Ma’am that will supply my needs”

“Thank you, it’s not often we get formal folks around here, no matter how weird” she once again chuckled as she turned around, her large tail acting as its own sort of gateway similar to that of her forward apron walking towards another patron. Ace gave a calm sigh and layed back, sitting to wait for his drink.

Over the blaring music and out of view, Bombshell and Clover had their laughs and preceded onwards, waiting for Sarah to wander within signaling proximity and calling her over. Naturally when noticed, she did respond and meandered onwards to the call of attention between Clover and Bombshell. Dressed to work, she sported a gleaming white coat of fur with a dichotomous hairstyle, and green eyes. Though I don’t think her level of clothing (or lack thereof) was going to spark complaints in such an environment.

“What’s up you two” was the first uppity response to the signals as they engaged in conversation.

Bombshell spoke first, “Did you happen to recently tend a rodent?”

Sarah replied generally, “Be specific, a lot of rodents find their way to these places usually.”

Clover took the second round, “A Squirrel”

Sarah eyed the two, “Yes. Why? I’ll be honest in saying the guy kinda dresses a bit too formally for places like these. He also clearly doesn’t understand colloquial connotations with some of his words” she laughed a bit.

“He said nuts didn’t he?” Bombshell asked giggling

Sarah let out a small laugh

“Is May around” – prodded Clover

“Of course, she’s going around making sure the place is running fine as usual. Granted she’s still silent for the most part. What are you two doing?” Sarah chuckled.

Bombshell answered, “We just figured that a nice little meeting can be arranged is all.”

Sarah prodded again, “What are you two trying to do? Hitch them or something?”

Clover shook hir head, “No, no hitching. Just a little meeting is all.”

Sarah complied “Just let me know what to do?” she snickered

Bombshell interjected, “Just keep him there for now and tell us where May is. He’s like a textbook just ask him to sit still until he’s called or something like that. Trust me, he WILL do it. We’ll let you know when he needs to move.”

Clover quickly spoke, “oh and have Razz prepare a few drinks. Avoid the Luta suggestions for them. This is not deviant or at least not TOO deviant” shi giggled.

The conversation ended on that note as the three exchanged information. Bombshell and Clover proceed to locate May, while Sarah was to simply hold Ace in his current location and fetch a few drinks. There were many events even with few select people not necessarily having a direct confrontation. Ace easily followed his instructions, not much questioning going on. Meanwhile Bombshell and Clover managed to catch May in transit.

“Hey hey May!” Clover called, grabbing her attention, “We have a surprise for you!”

May was a Eurasian Red squirrel. Her eyes were blue as the ocean’s waters were, with a red-pinkish tone to the fur, as well as a head of flowing blonde hair. Her ears were a bit lengthy, she sported earrings, a necklace and among the most formal wear amongst the attendees. She was quite shy and often expressed herself in simple statements or nods of approval.

“We need to go to the Break room” Bombshell added. “If you gotta do something try and make it quick.”

It seems this time May was not so much shy as rushed to a degree. Clover retreated towards the entrance to find Sarah and further initiate their little scheme. Quickly meeting each other they did catch a glimpse of a snickering Razz attending the bar continuing to mix drinks and a somewhat sluggish Luta staring onwards. Clover could tell that Luta had tried to input some serious ingredients in the drink and merely chuckled about. Clover did not see any on hand drinks however.

“Where are they drinks? Are they not ready yet?” Clover peaked.

“I picked out the casual break room and set them. No deviance, so no need for the other rooms.” Sarah Responded.

Clover nodded as Sarah was seen summoning the still staying Ace towards a break room. Careful distinctions were made to avoid the confusions with the “Gentlemen’s VIP” rooms which were upstairs. Clover, then catching up with Bombshell escorted May to an alternate way in, though they were careful to not allow visual contact between the two. Sarah could be heard explaining the basics of the room, and its use for a more classical atmosphere. This was of course nowhere near the actual purpose of the break room, but it worked the charm it needed to.

May looked in through the glass, and tracked all movement. Clover and Bombshell giggled to themselves as they pondered May’s current though processes. Underestimation occurred however and the second they closed their eyes to hold back laugher May was as gone as she was at the door mere seconds ago. Both quickly peered in through the glass to observe the situation. Sarah had just exited the room and there was no sign of May anywhere.

Regardless, attention was being paid to. Ace surveyed the room, looking somewhat confused as to the drinks placed near him on one of the tables. He continued to sort of pace around looking through some of the closets and what not. His gaze particularly fell on the golden sink in the room. Indeed the sink held such a gaze, when May was spotted by Bombshell and Clover creeping out of one of the compartments near the closets. They could tell she was tremendously excited.

As unorthodox as it was, Ace was not infallible. He carefully removed the larger portions of his robe, making sure to still stay dressed well of course, as the silent May behind him surveyed, Tail up and down, the shoulder positions and everything there was to know or guess without giving herself away. By far an easily mesmerizing trait was the similar fur color. Although it didn’t make or break the situation, the fur had its own gleam and smoothness to compare to May’s own native color. Bottling up was not an action plan however.

As Ace looked upon the leather cushions rowed seats and pondered taking his own seat that is the moment the explosion occurred. May with one quick, efficient leap pounced on the late suspecting squirrel. While this could have been worse, it didn’t change the fact that Ace was surprised. As he shuffled to resist he was brought down, bottoms up. His back slammed with a premature force against the cushioned row seat as he brought his paws in to shield himself.

However he quickly opened his eyes to a situation he didn’t exactly know how to comprehend. There, having hold of his legs sitting directly in front of him was a red Squirrel much like himself, obvious differences standing aside. He pulled on his legs, but met with the resistance as May only pulled him closer, tail flicking behind her. May’s eyes remained fixated on the whole of her new acquaintance, but still sidetracked with arms, face, the every changing eyes, chest and the legs in her arms. Outside with the music still blaring, Bombshell and Clover had their laughs looking onwards as the situation progressed.

“Errr, excuse me ma’am but would you mind relinquishing your grip on my legs” Ace started.

May only fixated her stare further, and looked about the legs before returning her gaze to the other Squirrel. Being unsure of how to proceed, Ace further tried passive probing.

“May I ask your name?”

May let out a high pitched laugh and proceeded to make slight pointing gestures at Ace rather than actually responding. Ace was confused briefly but caught on pretty fast.

“May?”

“Yes” was the brief answer.

“So you can speak?”

May gave a quick nod, but never relinquished her stare. The situation in fact yet tensed as May slightly increased the grip and lessened the distance between them.

“Please?”

May looked about and did slowly relinquish that tense grip that she had going. Only to replace it with something even closer and personal. As Ace began to stabilize and use the seats to help him however, the new confrontation was face to face. May’s hands had shifted positions, still intent on a similar operation. Her hands now occupied his face area, somewhat in a suave fashion as even in that position were being used to maintain a pinning presence. Ace wasn’t one much to ever force anything if it could be avoided.

The movements did get a rosy blush out of Ace to his own confusion, as May’s smile persisted. Bombshell and clover outside where jumping up and down having little care in the world as they were constantly finding new ways to make this amusing. For over 30 minutes silent movements or short phrases had been defining this little interaction. Ace was a very straight forward being, often standing for that of anyone’s personal space. It was quite uncommon for him to be approached in this manner.

He was an object of affection somewhat even in his younger years, but never to this personal of a degree. Although he knew no danger was present, it didn’t mean that he was not on edge for anything else. This mini standoff was quite a test of wits if it could be put that way. He admittedly had never specifically mediated many situations. It made trying to comprehend and analyze that much more difficult.

It would have gone on for possibly a lot longer had the purpose of the day not revealed itself. May had offered drinks numerous times to no avail as Ace did not partake in alcohol. The main door to the lounged banged open as a barrage of the employment staff began to chant the tradition Happy Birthday song, while trying to not completely burst out laughing at the virtual hostage situation that had developed. More varied drinks were brought in to accommodate Ace’s own taste as the cake rolled out. This day Ace was 20, but indeed it was going to be one of the more memorable parties in his life.

Realization did not stop the action or the laugher. May still feverishly tracked Ace movements making sure that they were shoulder to shoulder, increasing the heaviness of her breathing, even going so far as to initiate mini tail pokes. Ceremonies continued and snickers were heard all around. Even the occasional dawwww sneaked its way in. Nothing lasts forever though.

Bombshell and Clover both knew that Ace had his own schedule to attend to and thus eventually needed to depart. May was not aware of this and only used every increasing minute to close gaps between her and this new visitor. Physical actions such as hugging increased in frequency as May’s barriers were slowly being eroded. It did reach a point where a resolution was in danger of not being found. Strangely enough however, May was very cooperative near such an end.

She didn’t pout, put up much of anything really. Ace signaled and talked over that he had to leave and that was that, which threw a little shock at some of the other individuals in the room. Especially considering how this whole thing started out. No trick would go unexplored just yet however, as the goodbye hugs had yet to be fulfilled.

When engaging Bombshell with the ritual goodbye hug, Bombshell kept a slightly tighter grip giving May a wink. Without hesitation as Ace turned around, May huggingly pinned him against Bombshell as Shi enveloped them both in a bear hug giving that evil cackle to hirself. Not to be yet Delayed by another action, Ace quickly gathered his belongings left his payments and complimentary tips and bid one final farewell before exiting and departing for good.

Bombshell only grinned, “Don’t worry May, He’ll definitely be back sooner than you think. Don’t you just love first impressions?” Shi snickered.

May nodded and gave a small smile as she departed the room to go clean up a bit in the bathroom.

Even before closing the bathroom door and rounding the corner, was another figure. She was big, towering would be a proper word. Standing at 8’4 and looking downwards. She was feline and a taur and fairly youthful with a friendly yet weird nature about her. May did not exactly feel threatened, but could not respond.

“Hello” Spoke the shadowy figure. “I noticed you took an interest in that Squirrel fellow”.

May nodded and let out a small blush as well. The shadowy figure shifted to a rest position on her paws to better acquaint and further discuss.

“You were informed of his statuses and such correct?” To which May also nodded. May raised a finger at the figure as to question if the figure was indeed affecting the status.

“Yes, I am Tiara. In all 8 feet and such of me that I am indeed.” May took a seat on the floor temporarily, muttering out a small apology, though Tiara herself was confused.

“I’m not angry if that’s what you’re thinking. Oh no, we can definitely be better than that. It’s why I’m here, to make small talk.” She says in a positive tone. The response itself was indeed positive.

“There are a bunch of people that do all sorts of crazy stuff to him, myself obviously included” she says chuckling. “I felt he’s always needed that little niche that needed help filling. Obviously I cover a large portion of it and given his nature and raising I will be central to it. But a little distraction never hurt. Besides, they make for great stories and I think you’re the only formal squirrely lady he knows. I think you and I while obviously having different goals can easily pull a few strings to get those ticks tocking. Maybe on some special days or something, it’ll all be in the plan. He needs those crazy days to stop being so serious much of the time. Boundaries need to stay though. Hell, I’ve even got some plans as of now.” She ends stating in a small laugh.

With yet another meeting, a surprisingly mutual understanding to finish a night, a new friend, and some more action packed plans to look forward to into the future with; it’s sometimes hard to tell WHO was exactly having the birthday. Regardless of, no one could deny that Ace still wasn’t exactly sure in a method of approaching parties. Who knows the madness that would ensue next year….when the age of 21 would rear its head out to one up the 20th year with no mercy or even if the madness was restricted to his own parties, and not of others. The drinks would definitely be a daunting challenge.

Time would tell indeed if such was to be the case.

So WHO's birthday was it exactly?

Acevis Elecion

Bombshell receives credit here for being a large starter of the idea. If anything I'm actually rather shocked that I could finish this fast. Definitely seems like an ability present to me, though at the same time writing it yourself was so weird.

Anyway, Ace getting into trouble again, Stalking noises everywhere and small lulz. Too lazy to Paste and format on FA so none of that.
