Operation Deliverance occurred in the aftermath of the Battle of Omar, an Etrusean mission to rescue a group of PoWs held in Doras following information that their captors might have been planning to torture them. The operation was a prelude to Operation Archer, the Etrusean thousand-bomber raid that destroyed Straugn Dynamics' immense factory complex once known as Peace City, which from that day on would only be known by the name the Etruseans gave it, Straugn Works.

The PoWs were being held at an old castle whose principle defence was a dense minefield. The rather unorthodox rescue plan involved Etrusean agents and special forces troops stealing civilian helicopters in the Doran capital and flying to the castle under the escort of a giant B-98 Bomber Stream Protector, a specialised version of Etrusea's beloved B-95 Grand Dragon heavy bomber, which would cross the Doran border at low level and had been equipped with an improvised airborne line charge launcher. The helicopters would then fly close enough to the border to transfer the PoWs to military transport helicopters.

Etrusean agents tend to offer payment in the well-recognised Aludran gold sovereign rather than any local currency; much to Aludra's annoyance, more Aludran sovereigns have been made by Etrusea than were ever made by them.

This is an image I started about a year ago and then never got finished, and doing this is why I post regular WIPs so I don't feel overwhelmed at how much is left to do before I can show it to people :) This is the first place the phrase "Nir Alud omii" appeared, so this image is where the entire Aludran language started!
