Nephilim snagged this spot, and after a consulting her fanlegion, suggested the nefarious Danny from her stories as the dire Ravenstag from Hannibal. Now, admittedly I've only read about three of her stories with Danny, and the entire 6 minutes of Hannibal I've ever seen were on youtube researching the ravenstag (I couldn't even leave the volume on on the youtube clips; I know what I draw, but that show makes me want to curl up and weep! :D ), but I do understand in my bones that both are very rich in symbolism. And that is why I'll have to crave Nepphie's indulgence on an alteration in her description of the ravenstag and make him less a frightening vision in an expensive suit and more the faun/satyr leaping out from the woods of dreams. There is just too much rapaciousness in the character to button him into linens and silks.

Plus I just really liked the way the hoofed legs pushed his weight down on top of her, crushing the breath out of her despite his taunting words.
