gorebyss follows an erratic flickering in the deep sea, curious what on earth would draw attention to itself with such a display, way down here. She's good at being discreet, so she doesn't fear for herself approaching it.
On investigation, it's a little chinchou... which is, even harder to understand. She continues closer with only more interest. What's it doing out here? Why doesn't it know to swim for dear life...?

This little chinchou has poor vision... and poor thought. It is spacey and has little control over its lights, making it pretty lonely, since it can't communicate through the darkness with its shine to other chinchou. Whats more, its random blinking makes it a risky companion, so others of its kind don't want to be around it. Its eyes are askew. It's a wonder its lived this long, but maybe other things took as much confused pity on it as this gorebyss...
