This is Nalo, Morowa's second helper and Kiano's older half brother by their mother. Male hyenas are not well loved by the hybrid hyena clan, since most of the hermaphroditic hyenas in the main tribe are fertile, and are usually exiled from the main tribe when they come of age. Kiano and Nalo are the pure exception in the main clan, Kiano because of his skill with herbs and toxins, and Nalo because his sire was Sarki's sister, Bara, and was offered to Morowa as tribute. While Nalo does not share his brother's useful skills, he has earned his place at Morowa's side through pure dedication and hard work. He is incredibly loyal to her and follows every order without question. He has earned his piercings from fighting at her side during the war of the clans.
