Facial Expressions Tests for The New Texture Mappings (critique requested)

DrGravitas

I just realized I used the same eyebrows twice in this set! Boo!

We have a set of 4 different faces for testing the UV placement and shader's new texture maps: (Counter-clockwise starting from the upper right)
Bland disappointment, making kissy lips, a look of some intent, and umm... worn out from intense cardiovascular activity. Yes...

Ahem So, I experimented a bit with some of the faces. The lower left's eyelids were shifted around considerably and generally successful, I think. The kissy lips thing was significantly less successful, but at least I got some sort of (very small) puckering to them. It doesn't read well since the upper portion doesn't have the black lip shading. Plus, it's really small, so the body and lighting have to pull extra weight to try to sell the expression. The puckering effect required customized adjustments to the wire deformer's weight paints (like earlier lip-biting looks) which I'm not fond of.

The shoulder's portion of the white chest markings show some of the compression issues in the UV, creating blurred borders and sudden, sharp angles.

I wish I had remembered to dilate the pupils for the lower images.

Constructive criticism is welcome!
