I start with a rough line sketch of the character, then once approved, transfer the image to the leather and hand carve that. The most time consuming part on these is the painting process. I have to paint several layers of each color to get it thick enough, so it is vibrant and beautiful against the color of the leather. It is then properly sealed, which gives it a beautiful sheen.

Each comes with leather lace for tying around your neck, along with a little jingle bell and an added badge clip, should you choose to use that instead of the leather strap. The size of the badge will be roughly 4"x5".
