From 1994. I was a big fan of the comic Fusion, so when Lex Nakashima asked me to do something for the fanzine fanzine TAKE OFF!, I jumped at the chance. The story features original characters set in the Fusion universe, and if that vixen on the left of panel 2 seems familiar, eventually she bacame the basis for Pi. The art style was an attempt to match the one in Fusion, and what I learned influenced the look of Zaibatsu Tears Flower started out as an NPC from an Other Suns campaign I ran a few years previously, and The Tin Man was inspired by Anne McCaffrey's Ship series.
It's a comic story, but I submitted it as a PDF so as to avoid a massive dump of art.
I like the fact I can read the story as one submission with my tablet, in one go, then awkwardly bagenthrough a number of links. This story inspired mine unfinished one, "The Treasure Hunters".
I like this story -- like the cockpit of the Kwai Tao, it's lean and compact. Duke Pol, just another crack Pot. And T.M. puts me in mind of the original shell, the eponymous Arthur of The Knights of Arthur by Frederik Pohl. (With illustrations by some clown named Don Martin -- yeah, him.)

Very nice! I definitely would like to see more of it.
