I don't typically photograph trains, but hey, I'm on holidays. I'll make an exception.
Here we have Amtrak Train 1, the westbound Sunset Limited, at Houston TX. We have a 2 locomotive + 6 carriage consist at a very basic station - I guess it's proof not everything is bigger in Texas!

Impressive looking beast. Nice streamlined finish. I should ask one of my friends who's an ex-Amtrak employee about the engine specifics.
Yeah, I didn't find railroad stations in Canada very impressive either. Heck, Sydney Central beats both Toronto Union Station and Vancouver Union Station several times over. Stations in America & Canada look more like oversized bus stops.
You shouldn't feel pressured into photographing trains, but then if you want too... :)
