Alrighty, going to kick this triptych off with the first image that was created of the series.
Those who saw my year meme (on DA) may have noticed a preview thumb of this piece was snuck into it, along with its literal companion piece.

To set the premise this guy, and the two following this piece, were all parts of visions I saw in my dreams on two separate occasions half a year apart. The dream world that involves this one and the next will be split between them as it does expose a rather odd world-logic as to their existence.

Interestingly enough these are not mature creatures, but rather a juvenile form of the species.

The oceanic world they live in has acidic water, which constantly eats away at the outer layers of skin and leaves a perpetually peeling appearance. The young creatures are able to withstand this environmental stress for a number of years as they mature until a switch kicks on in their psyche that drives them to jump as high as they can manage from the water. This nearly psychotic frenzy of leaping is often observed in groups of immature delphinoids in their effort to reach a certain 'sweet spot' of height.
