Man, I can't overestimate the influence these books had on my worldview when I read them as a child <:3 Even thirty years later they haunt (delightfully!) my imagination...
I only discovered Moomin a few years ago and it strikes me as exactly the sort of thing I would have been fondly attached to as a kid had I known about it. I love the stories, values, character archetypes, tone and aesthetics. It's all been delightful to absorb!
