This is a 3d-printed head-base for a bird hand-puppet. I sculpted this head in Lightwave Modeler.
It took 6 hours 34 minutes to print the base for the head in PLA on my 3d-printer. It was printed in two parts and glued together with Plaast. The lower jaw is made with a aluminum profile - covered in Wonderflex. Each eye is half a ping pong ball (I cut it in half to get more space for the puppeteers hand inside the head). The eyelids can be controlled with bowden-cables (those are not installed yet).
