General Information

  • Four large tentacles that come out of the top of it's head. The tentacles are lined with large suckers like that of an octopus but a single row at the very middle of the tendrils have large hook like fangs in them much like that of a squids.
  • Several smaller tendrils on the chin that hold little purpose other than to be there. It's thought that these tendrils were a mutation that would act as feelers of sorts or detectors much like a Catfishes whiskers.
  • Long, serpentine body like that of a Giratina's. The tail ends in an array of long tendrils and tentacles the numbers varying. Back head tendrils extend all the way past the tail while the frontal ones only go to the front fin of the body.
  • Teeth vary in size with the largest being upwards of 5 feet in length and the smallest measuring around 3.5 feet in length. Teeth are serrated and capable of tearing meals while on the move.
  • When the mouth is fully closed teeth protrude out form the sides of the lips. Due to the serrated texture of the teeth there are sometimes multiple scars around the gums and lips of the animal.
  • Large fins like that of a Kyogre's protrude from the back, smaller fins protrude from the back of the chin of the Kraken's jaw. The large forearm/fin has an almost arm like structure to it and is capable of bending and moving in multiple directions instead of just up and down. This fin is often used in part with the tendrils to propel the large bulk of the Kraken forward.
  • Several large spike like bones protrude from the sides of the kraken's long serpentine body that resemble that of a Giratina's body spines. These provide a great defense against the Kraken's only natural threat the Dunklicanth. While these provide protection of the body they do not help defend as greatly as one might think.
  • Coloration for the most part is a deep azure base, the stomach doesn't get the giratina like pattern until several feet down where it will start a black and red striping pattern. The bottom jaw is a deep silver in coloration with a red stripe forming around the bottom lip to the back of the jaw. Red circles can be seen around the eyes along with orca like silver spots along the face. The bottoms of the tendrils are a cream like yellow coloration and other markings are a mix of Kyogre and Giratina.
  • If the Kraken were to ever leave the water with it's entire body the weight of it's own mass would kill and crush it and if the weight alone does not crush it then it will suffocate within moments of leaving the water. While the Kraken is whale like and can breath both through gills and through a blowhole found at the top of it's head at the center between all four tentacles it wouldn't be capable of taking breaths on land due to it's size. Thus, the Kraken is completely bound to the water.

Senses
Smell - Extremely acute sense of smell to rival that of sharks if not surpass that of a sharks. The sense of smell is the greatest sense that the Kraken has.
Sight - Capable of seeing roughly 100 feet around it with 360 degree vision the Kraken's sense of sight is rather average. Once it gets close to it's wanted target or prey item sight becomes completely irrelevant.
Hearing - Poor hearing all around, due to living in the water hearing has become an unneeded sense and the Kraken doesn't require it to hunt. While it can hear things, the only things that will ever catch it's attention through sound would be large items dropping into the water, explosions, etc.

Social

  • Solitary, the Kraken does not mingle with anything. Be it human, feral animals or other Pokemon. If anything gets in it's path it's generally ignored or consumed.
  • While it is solitary other creatures often gather around it as it swims. Things like Sharpedo will often be found following the giant leviathan in hopes of picking off scraps that drop as it consumes prey. Remoraids have also been known to gather around the Kraken as they act as cleaners.
  • Cleaners are often allowed the chance to get inside the Kraken's mouth to clean away bits and remains that get stuck between it's teeth. Because Remoraids are so helpful the Kraken usually avoids eating them but... sometimes it can't be helped.
  • No natural predators due to it's immense size but a common threat that leaves heavy scars and bite wounds on the Kraken is the Dunklicanth. A large prehistoric Relicanth that can measure upwards of 35' in length with powerful crushing jaws and teeth.
  • The Kraken is bound to David Enrique Jones as his faithful pet, due to this it has an odd relationship with the beast known as Hydra, another creature that is also under David's control.

Powers

  • Capable of expanding the oceans at will. Because of the Kyogre heritage of the Kraken it is capable of expanding waters around it. The ability to expand waters and oceans is countered by the act of the Pytho (Groudon/Heatran/Tyrantrum) which can create and expand continents. Both the Kraken's and the Pytho's abilities are nullified by the presence of the Jörmungandr (Rayquaza/Zygarde/Arbok).
  • Wherever the Kraken is large storms follow due to it's natural ability Drizzle. These storms can range in severity from just a small shower to large scale Typhoons.
  • Despite the Giratina traits the Kraken cannot go between dimensions and cannot change it's form to go on land. The Kraken is completely bound to the water much like the Pytho is bound to land. It holds no abilities of the Giratina half of it's hybridism save for appearance.
  • Due to being a hybrid the Kraken is capable of using an assortment of moves, primarily from the Kyogre side of it's heritage as that is what dominants the other two parts of it's hybridism. It can learn and know all of the Kyogre's moves at any given time while also having moves from Giratina such as Hex, Shadow Force, and even Draco Meteor. From Malamar it can even learn Flamethrower... despite being able to learn moves from all three halves the Kraken cannot learn Fly as it is completely water bound.
