Inktober: Ermine Moth by Swandog

Inktober: Ermine Moth

Swandog

My second submission for Inktober, an Ermine Moth. He may look cute and fuzzy, but he's still a predator. ;) I like to imagine Ermine Moths hang out in birch trees, where they are camouflaged against the black and white spotted bark. :) (He also has black spots down his sides, and orange-colored fur on his back, like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/54/The_road_of_the_white_ermine_moth.jpg , but that's usually hidden by his folded wings.)

I still adore this piece! The texture almost seems pencil, giving your pen such definitive and lovely strokes. Love it!

What an interesting combination - I really love it! Moths and Ermines are both so cute, so this combination of them is freakin' adorable >w<

Pretty! The wings feel so soft and slightly fuzzy-- very nice effect.
