Sorry, I'm not good with titles. XD
This image was done for NimbleBun's art contest: https://www.weasyl.com/journal/65698/show-me-something-spooky-contest
The basic premise is to do something "spooky." Even though I normally do cutesy stuff, I figured it was worth a challenge. My current Halloween addiction might have something to do with that. Braindead on a subject matter I typically do not draw, I asked my coworkers what they thought of when they hear "spooky."
The responses was interesting. Basically, spooky was different from horror and terror in that it was more common place. Perfectly normal things that just seem a little ... odd. That make you do a double take on it.
So that's what I attempted to draw up here. A dark forest at night, with a fog rolling in. A perfectly normal scene...right?
Artwise, I'm very proud of this picture. I usually struggle with anything background related. I'm really happy with this. I'm also incredibly proud of all the subtle things you don't even see, like coloration on the trees or the colors of the ground. For a subject matter I don't usually do, I think it turned out well. And I'm really proud of myself, whether I win the contest or not. Though here's hoping I do, lol.
Feedback is also requested. Not so much for improving the art entry, deadline is like, tomorrow. XD But for future pictures. So thanks in advance for any!
