Hey its another question marked species like Xoqe! Though this one is for a very different reason. Whereas Xoqe kinda border between highly intelligent animal and sapience... they're not even sure about this one.
Alright this requires some BACKSTORY. There is a gas planet only a few dozen lightyears away from Waloe (home planet of the Wayok if you don't remember) call Qwawts. While the planet seems large enough its again mostly surrounded in gas with actual solid matter being in the middle of all that. Due to some interesting chemical reactions the planet does indeed have light on top of having liquid water and so on. The planet's surface is always covered in thick chemical fog that while not poison per say is mostly not oxygen so you can very well suffocate without a suit.
So it was a huge pain the butt to actually get onto the planet to explore where they discovered there is almost definitely a sapient lifeform past or present in this location. The reason? Something technological is messing with signals/tech of the UICA making it that much harder for them to explore the planet.
So what is known about the Qwawtish? Basically nothing, they seem to be at the least skittish as anytime one is spotted they quickly flee. Based on the only partially decomposed body they found it is known they have 3 eyes, 2 beaks on the side of their head and two a digit on each hand on each side that have adapted to be thumbs and use their front limbs to grab onto the surface to "walk" as the gravity isn't that high. Also they have a very large brain and wear textile/jewellery which are usually two big signs something is quite bright. Thing is your can put a shirt on a whale so they could simply be the domesticated animal of another species and not a civilization of people.

Basically biological and story wise they're one of my more strange species to be sure.
