One of my favorite plates that I got at Anthrocon. I just grabbed him as he was coming out of the headless lounge and he was patient enough to sit for a portrait.

10 second exposure and he didn't move an inch.

I still need to do some fussing with the plate (another wash, then it needs varnish) but I couldn't resist posting this one.

    wow ... nice one

surprising that he was able to sit still for that time ... people are not really used to such long exposure times any more :-D

My exposures ran from 3 seconds to 12 seconds on Saturday depending on the angle of the light. That's part of the reason I have them sitting. It's easier to stay still. Everyone did a good job though. Furries are good models.

for me in large format exposure times are shorter with modern film ... but i still have to explain why people have to stand still between focussing and exposure while I switch from groundglass to film and prepare the shutter

I'm considering building a posing stand for suiters.

I'd never heard of this process until now. This really makes the head look even more life like. Awesome!

Thanks, it's still one of my favorite plates.
