im not usually one whos scared by video games but theres this one game called lifeless planet and it scares the living shit outta me for various horrible reasons
what even is the plot of this game omg.. i watched the trailer and it just sorta seemed like you were wanderin around mars with no real purpose
and then suddenly the red scare
its not mars its some......other place idek lol
its a puzzle game with an abandoned soviet town sittin on what might as well be mars
iTS NOT EVEN THE SOVIET PART THAT SCARES ME ITS LITERALLY THE FACT THAT ITS THIS RANDOMASS TOWN WITH NO ATMOSPHERIC PROTECTION AT ALL
ITS JUST THERE
SITTING
IN THE DUST
I'm like this all the time ever since I lived by myself in the country. Any game with a sense of isolated atmosphere like Minecraft, Aztec Temples or lacks any human interaction just terrifies me in this uncanny way. I'm glad I find other people who feel the same with these games it's pretty spooky.
its funny bc minecraft is perfectly a-ok for me but like
shit where youre all alone with nothing really quantifiable as enemies will always be more terrifying to me than games filled with bullet fodder
Minecraft with Enemies is the least frightening game mode to play as, I don't know why the Psychological Nemesis that is Silence, The Void, the knowledge I should be all alone is harder to cope with than fighting for my last heart against Creepers and skeletal archers. It seems like the only thing that starves off our immediate existential crisis is the presence of Orcs for instance.
Okay, I was gonna say, I don't scare easy by games either and I might try this game, but THE DESCRIPTIONS YOU'VE GIVEN MAKE IT SOUND LIKE SOMETHING I WOULD FIND TOO UNSETTLING TO PLAY, maybe not, it sounds like it'd freak me the frick out.
Sidenote, the shifty, shaky eye is a nice touch there.

That game looked interesting, for sure.
